Bex Gaunt grew up in sunny South Florida, surrounded by the music of the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. The music of those bygone eras spoke to her, and it inspires and informs the music she makes today. Trained in classical violin and piano, jazz violin, and vocal performance, Bex seeks to create music from the past for the present. Her music is at once soulful and playful, familiar and unique. Now a resident of Saint Paul, Bex is always making music, whether teaching K-8 music at a school in South Minneapolis, or singing for her cat, Clementine. She plays fiddle (and many other instruments) with Brian Laidlaw and The Family Trade. She also regularly tours the US as the fiddle player for Grammy Award-winning musicians, The Okee Dokee Brothers.
